Senior Information Security Engineer - (161142)

Responsibilities and Expectations
- Monitor, respond to, tune, analyze alerts from network and systems monitoring tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, AV, firewalls etc.); administer rules and policies for same
- Perform vulnerability scanning across enterprise systems and networks to ensure patch currency and configuration accuracy.
- Perform web and application security penetration testing for internal, external and client websites.
- Function as web / application security subject matter expert and liaison to internal Edelman teams (both technical and non-technical) for relevant projects.
- Research, analyze, and recommend the implementation of software or hardware changes to rectify security deficiencies or to enhance security performance.
- Participate as a member of team providing pertinent security information and input to strategic and tactical planning; initiatives and projects planning.
- Conduct security investigations and provide cyber forensics support in response to security incidents.
- Run risk assessments on new and existing technologies; perform security testing for new systems.
- Develop technical security standards in support of information security policies and principles
- Train other Security Engineers on processes, procedures, and technologies.

Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline and a minimum 5 years’ information security experience in a global enterprise environment
- Active professional certifications such as CISSP, OSCP/E, relevant GIAC or SANS certifications
- Ability to research, analyze and resolve complex problems with minimal supervision and escalate issues as appropriate
- Demonstrated experience with Windows, Linux, Red Hat, etc. hosts, operating systems and applications.
- Detailed knowledge of network engineering and local and wide area (LAN/WAN) technologies and topologies.
- Experience with all levels of security up to and including the application layer.
- Advanced knowledge of technical security solutions (i.e. IDS/IPS, secure remote access, authentication, traditional and next gen firewalls, encryption, VPNs, SIEMs, application security, advanced malware detection, vulnerability management, and other relevant domains)
- Experience with penetration testing, incident response and cyber forensic investigation
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
