Summary:
Diversified investment management/financial company seek an Analyst to support their Chief Compliance Officer as well as VP of Fund Administration, in the administration of the firm’s mutual funds, investment adviser and broker-dealer.

Responsibilities:
Compliance-
Assist in development/administration of firm’s Code of Ethics compliance program, including maintaining the electronic administration system, monitoring personal securities transactions, responding to employees’ questions, monitoring gifts/entertainment
Participate in compliance testing and annual reviews of firm’s compliance programs
Develop enhanced methods of monitoring compliance desktop procedures
Monitor regulatory/industry updates and make recommendations regarding necessary changes to the compliance programs
Draft compliance and desktop policies/procedures
Conduct compliance training
Assess the contents/requirements for and prepare various regulatory filings
Assist with regulatory (SEC/FINRA/DOL) audits
Develop working knowledge of various firm systems
Perform various general administrative duties

Fund Administration
Detailed review of weekly check requests prepared by sub-administrator (all fund expenses)
Review/maintain/monitor vendor reporting matrixes, including vendor follow up for missing reports
Review of sub-administrator reports including cash availability/daily sheets/closing prices/stale prices/advisory/
12b-1 tie out spreadsheets/total returns/fund accounting reports
Post Fund holdings/performance to the firm’s website
Review of all transfer agent reports
Review/calculation of monthly 12b-1 accrual
Provide billing oversight for quarterly 12b-1 payments from transfer agent
Monitor daily NAV alert process including fulfilling the “first alert” role
Perform detailed review of annual/semi-annual financial statements
Maintain Master Non-Standard Dealer List, including non-standard dealer payment oversight
Participate in vendor oversight of sub-advisers/transfer agent/fund sub-administrator/fund accountant/custodian including: potential on-site visits/bi-weekly conference calls with sub-administrator on service levels and new issues
Perform detailed review of quarterly board materials/preparation of materials and/or special analyses
Participate in annual contract reviews (Rule 15c materials)
Participate in prospectus/SAI/N-SAR regulatory filing process
Assist in the review of the Funds’ budget and help make accrual recommendations on a monthly basis
Assist independent outside auditors during their annual examination

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required (Accounting or Finance degree preferred)
FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses are required within 120 days of hire
2+ years of prior experience in the mutual fund, investment adviser and/or broker-dealer industry in a compliance or fund administration capacity
Working knowledge of IARD, Web CRD, portfolio accounting, CRM systems, and personal trading surveillance systems
Ability to quickly grasp new technologies and to develop enhancements to processes leveraging the technologies
Excellent written/oral communications skills required

Responsibilities:

JOB DESCRIPTION:  
  • Provides coaching on Agile values and practices while emphasizing continuous improvement
  • Enables individual project teams to share their learning with the organization
  • Encourages collaboration and proactively seeks opportunities to improve collaboration
  • Tracks and ensures visibility of historical team metrics and progress of the iteration and release
  • Emphasizes the need for incremental releases, iterative work and prioritization by value and risk
  • Assists with internal and external communication by transparently radiating information, especially relative to historical team metrics, progress towards iteration and release goals, and team capacity
  • Partners with project leads to ensure the team is producing a solution that meets established standards, procedures and practices
  • Collaborates with project leads to aggressively address issues, risks and mitigation plans
  • Instills a sense of urgency reflecting the goals for the current iteration, upcoming release, and project vision, while passionately emphasizing the importance of meeting these goals
  • Optimizes, increases and sustains throughput; ensuring prioritization of work by value and risk
  • Is collaborative in driving decisions and team behavior, guarding against making decisions and assignments for the team and instead creates and environment where teams have the context needed to make the best decision
  • Ensures iteration-based meetings are effectively facilitated, the outcomes are achieved and their cadence is maintained
  • Assists team with making appropriate commitments through story selection, sizing and tasking
  • Proactively identifies and removes blockers, limits work in progress and prevents distractions
  • Facilitates frequent retrospectives, sharing metrics to identify and implement improvements
  • Identifies, creates and defends opportunities for expediting feedback throughout the iteration
  • Participates proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices
 Qualifications
  • Must have 6+ years IT experience
  • Must have 1+ years of hands-on ScrumMaster experience utilizing Agile delivery framework
  • Hands-on experience in the proactive, passionate improvement of software development process and practices to optimize business value delivery
  • Preferred to be a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent
  • Preferred to have experience with distributed development teams which span multiple geographies, time zones and cultures
  • Preferred to have direct experience in a Web, Java, XML, RDBMS development environment
  • Must have experience overseeing project teams with at least 10 team members
  • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication and time management skills
  • Must be self-motivated, organized, self-confident and self-directing with a proven ability to identify priorities and mobilize initiatives in an orderly fashion to achieve desired results with minimal supervision
  • Must be effective and efficient in identifying and proposing creative, innovative solutions to complex, time-critical challenges
  • Must possess excellent situational awareness and an ability to remain calm under pressure and be cognizant of how you are perceived
  • Must have hands-on experience and a thorough understanding of agile soft

Summary:
The systems analyst supports systems/business customers and performs technical/functional system analysis. Leads effective change management through planning and managing small sized projects, assists the application and engineering teams with requirements, design, testing, and documentation to implement document and content management solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborates closely with the customers and application teams on technology strategies, requirements, design, and testing to implement the delivery of technology services
- Act as a primary liaison for business customers and systems groups to support requirements understanding, resolve various project and technology issues throughout project life cycle.
- Produce concise system requirements, functional specifications, use case documents and functional solutions to achieve project goals
- Create and maintain technical documentation throughout project life cycle.
- Create and manage detailed project plans for small implementations; manage scope, track changes, decisions and issues during the project.
- Provide estimates for analysis work, establish milestones and schedules.
- Assist and support QA and User acceptance testing (UAT) planning and execution.

Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of MS SharePoint - Must Have
- Data analysis skills (data mapping, data modeling, data feeds).
- Skills in MS Word, Process flow, Spreadsheet and Presentation software.
- Working knowledge of object-oriented applications and design (.NET, Java).
- Full project and software development life cycle (Waterfall, Agile) methodologies.
- Solid understanding of analysis, development, QA, and project management roles.
- Familiar with migrating data and upgrading server applications, databases and repositories.
- Build and maintain relationships with systems, repository service and customers.
