Agile Project Manager, Contract

Agile Project Manager
Type: 6 Month Contract (With Option To Hire Perm, If Desired)
Location: 350 N Clark St, Chicago, IL (River North Neighborhood. Around 1.5 Miles From Union Station)
Salary: $60-$65 Per Hour W2 (All Inclusive)

A leading international management consulting organization is seeking an Agile Project Manager with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. The right candidate has experience leading project delivery in an extremely fast-paced environment and has the desire to play a critical role in releasing innovative technology solutions.

Client expects this Agile PM consultant to be detail-oriented, aggressive, and passionate about process. Someone dedicated to leading, planning and executing technology projects that are delivered on time and with exceptional results.

Responsibilities:
•             Lead project, release, and iteration planning while proactively managing scope, risk, quality, and resource allocation
•             Drive accountability throughout all functional areas
•             Communicate project status, risk, milestones and issues
•             Draw upon experience with different software development methodologies to manage, build and adapt processes as a template for repeatable project execution
•             Manage multiple business-critical technology projects concurrently

Requirements:
•             6-10 years+ experience in the management of software development and/or technology projects
•             Highly developed organizational and communication skills, including very strong presentation skills to executive leadership
•             Solid understanding of relational database; technical background a plus.
•             Experienced in large global project setting, energetic, result oriented, ability to manage multiple projects.
•             Very strong MS Office knowledge and experience
•             Sound understanding of fundamentals of internet and technology spaces
•             Experience with multiple development methodologies, including Agile
•             PMP certification a plus

Position: Agile Project Manager

Required Skills:
•        Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology or relative field.
•        At least 8+ years experience in managing development projects with onsite-offshore teams.
•        CSM (Certified Scrum Master) certification, with 2+ years of on-the-job experience.
•        Very well versed with project management principles - risk management, issue management, dependency management, etc
•        Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially high ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people
•        Possess positive and professional communication skills with all levels of stakeholders and management
•        Dependable, organized, and highly motivated with ability to multi-task
•        Technically aware to be able to work with developers & Testers directly.....( Java and Tibco exposure would be PLUS )
