Title: Financial Advisor (862-2)

Location: Chicago

Compensation: Generous six-figure plus incentives

Summary:

Our client is an independent registered investment advisory firm which invests and manages portfolios for high net worth individuals, families, and institutional clients. The firm was founded in 2003 and currently employs over 45 professionals and manages over $3 billion in assets through separately managed accounts, hedge funds, and other vehicles.

Responsibilities:

Assisting Senior Financial Advisors with daily responsibilities including opening new accounts, monitoring and rebalancing client portfolios, raising funds for cash needs, preparation of asset allocation charts, and running portfolio reviews

Facilitating the preparation of regular client meeting exhibits for advisors

Working with our investment team to submit trade requests

Responding to clients and outside advisor inquiries

Attend client meetings with advisors as appropriate

Assisting in the preparation of retirement projections, income tax projections, estate tax balance sheet and flow charts, education analyses, Social Security analyses, and funding of donor advised accounts

Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with clients

Prospecting for clients through referrals, personal observation, and networking

Expanding personal knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development and joint work with fellow colleagues and other professionals (i.e. accountants and attorneys)

Requirements:

2+ years of relevant work experience in an accounting or investment advisory firm

BA, BS, and/or graduate degree required

CFP/CPA/PFS preferred

Desire to increase financial planning knowledge and to obtain the CFP certification

Candidate will be required to pass the Series 7 and 66

Individual income tax background or knowledge preferred

Strong interpersonal skills and customer service focus

Excellent presentation and organization skills

Strong work ethic, self-motivated and goal-oriented
