Trade Operations Analyst, Chicago

Title: Trade Operations Analyst (872-21)
Location: Chicago
Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Summary/ Responsibilities:
Global investment management firm seeks a Trade Operations Analyst who will be responsible for all post execution trade life-cycle activities and ensuring that the investment book of record (IBOR) is accurate at all times.
Manage investment operations tasks within Aladdin and in conjunction with global colleagues:
Pricing & Valuations; static data maintenance (securities/counterparts/portfolios/clients/etc.) – in liaison with global team; manage corporate actions life-cycle
Cash Management – reconcile settled cash to custodians and publish for trading
Positions reconciliations – reconcile traded positions to Citi
Oversee/support collateral management activity as required
Reporting client/regulatory reporting as required
Ensure adherence with regulations and global policies
Provide first line support for all investment operations related queries received internally/externally (clients) for trade related queries
Liaise with Citi for the resolution of investment operations exceptions; ensure appropriate corrective action is taken for investment operations exceptions
Evolve/align operational processes with global colleagues to common processes/procedures can be maintained
Oversee investment operational activity conducted by Citi
Utilize/maintain knowledge of industry standards/best practices for investment operations
In conjunction with investment operations manager initiate change as required
Liaise with other businesses for the facilitation of trading in Cross Border funds
Produce internal performance reporting

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant area of study required
5+ years of trade operations/investment compliance experience required; prior experience in an asset management/buy-side setting strongly preferred
Prior fixed income product (high yield, investment grade, securitized, etc.) experience absolutely required
Derivatives (Interest Rate Swaps, Currency Swaps, Credit Default Swaps, Spots, Forwards, Collateral Management) experience a plus
Demonstrable understanding of end-to-end investment operations life-cycle required
Order Management System experience required; experience with Aladdin, POINT (or similar) strongly preferred
Experience negotiating problem resolutions and working in global matrix management organization preferred
Prior experience with Bloomberg preferred
