Title: Software engineer/Technical Lead/Developer
Location: Chicago, IL; Glen Mills, PA; Hermitage, TN
Duration: 06 month contract to hire position
Duties and Responsibilities:
Acts as a Scrum Master and oversees project delivery, development of and management against project budget and plans, monitors, and reviews various development deliverables ensuring all are consistent with standards. Leads coding and other work activities as necessary.
Performs technical design and documents technical specifications. Assists application architects in the creation of application, integration, and data architecture. Ensures compliance of developed solution to underlying solution architecture.
Analyzes business/ functional requirements and prepares development project schedule, tasks, and estimates.
Leads daily collaboration efforts with project team members to identify issues and risks associated with the design, implementation, and delivery of project assignments.
Accountable for design and code reviews, and resolution of defects.
Leads development and integration environment setup.
Lead configuration management including source code control, build automation and development of deployment scripts and instructions.
Provides on-going support to business and content teams managing sites on strategic technology platform.
Develops, maintains, and executes unit and integration test scenarios (automated or manual) to validate programs/application functionality and integration.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Technical Skills:
Intermediate MS Office, Advanced proficiency in software development lifecycle methodologies (i.e. Agile),
Advanced understanding of software design patterns and methodology.
Advanced knowledge of configuration management practices and procedures.
Executes design activities leveraging knowledge of all application design techniques; Ensures design is consistent with solution architecture; Ensures adherence to design standards; Performs technology proofs-of-concept to support design approaches.
Expert skills and experience in the following: C#, ASP.NET, SharePoint, Powershell scripting, MVC framework, WWF, XML, XSLT, WCF, Javascript, JQuery, Ajax and database development (using MS SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS and SSRS)
Experience in architecture and technical design of enterprise solutions leveraging OOD/OOA, SOA, and web services).
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
3 to 5 years of applications development and support experience; understanding of methodologies and delivery of business software solutions with experience in the various SDLC methodologies.
